At the baseline Kayla is a terrific teacher, but the sessions with her always felt like more than a class. Right from the start we would begin our sessions with some breath work for centering and focus, and I felt like she was holding space for me. She taught me so much about my tongue, I never knew I could have so much control over its movements, and beyond that I never knew what importance it held in relation to the rest of the fascia system throughout the body. Soon after our work started I noticed myself breathing through my nose more regularly without thinking about it. My sleep got deeper and was more consistent, and my stamina during physical activity improved dramatically. The exercises she gave me were simple in theory but posed a new challenge, and I discovered strength in muscles I never knew I had. I plan on cycling back through them on a regular basis. I worked with Kayla for over a year. I first met her as my myofunctional therapist and when that therapy was complete, i continued meeting with her for wellness coaching. I had an excellent experience. Kayla brought topics for discussion but was flexible to pivot if I had a specific concern that I wanted to address. I felt like she really knew how to deep dive to get to the root of the problem. We talked about possible solutions and then would follow up in subsequent sessions to understand how I was doing on implementing those solutions. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Kayla and felt like our time together was immensely valuable.
